Privacy
We collect what you type into the review request form and use it to answer you about the estate. We don't sell it, rent it or trade it, and we don't run advertising or analytics trackers on this site.
Who we are

What we collect
- The review request form. Your name, role, email, phone if you give it, the decedent's name, year of death, counties and states, where the estate stands, what documents you have, and anything you write in the notes.
- The decimal worksheet. Nothing. It runs in your browser, and what you type into it is not sent to us. The download is built on your device.
- Server logs. Our host records standard request data (IP address, browser, page requested, time) to keep the site running and secure.
- Fonts. Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google's servers when a page loads.
How we use it
To answer your request, to work the estate's minerals if you engage us, and to keep a record of our correspondence. We don't use it for advertising and we don't sell or share it with data brokers, buyers or operators. If you engage us on an estate, we share what a county clerk, an operator or a state unclaimed property office needs to do its part, and only for that estate.
Where it's kept
Form submissions are stored in Google Cloud (Firebase and Cloud Firestore) in the United States, which encrypts data in transit and at rest. We keep requests as long as the conversation or engagement lasts and then as long as our business records require.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete what you sent us, or ask us to stop using it. Email hello@mineral.estate with "Privacy request" in the subject. We answer within the time state privacy laws allow, such as the 45 days set by the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act and the California Consumer Privacy Act.
Children
This site is for adults handling an estate. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
