This site explains how estate minerals get inventoried, transferred and paid, and lets you ask for a review. Reading it or sending the form doesn't hire us. Any work for an estate is under a written engagement.
Using this site
By using mineral.estate you agree to these terms and to our privacy notice. Use the site for lawful purposes: don't send false or spam requests, scrape it in bulk, or try to break it.
Not legal, tax or title advice
Our Landmen LLC works as independent professional landmen. We are not attorneys, we don't practice law, and we don't issue title opinions. The explanations, samples and statute references here are general information. Probate, heirship suits and anything else that goes through a court are for the estate's attorney; tax basis and appraisals are for the estate's CPA and appraiser.
The worksheet and the samples
The decimal worksheet is arithmetic for planning. It assumes equal shares and doesn't know the deeds, the will or the unit. It is not a substitute for the advice of an attorney. The sample inventory and check stub are made up to show a format; they don't describe a real estate, owner or operator.
No engagement until it's in writing
Sending a review request doesn't create an attorney-client relationship (we aren't attorneys) or any other engagement. Work for an estate starts only under a signed engagement letter that sets out the scope and the fee, and that letter controls over anything on this site.

This site links to heir.land and mineral.land, which Our Landmen LLC also operates. mineral.land buys minerals for its own account; an estate review here doesn't involve it.
Ownership
The text, drawings, marks and worksheet on this site belong to Our Landmen LLC.
Limits
The site is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Our Landmen LLC isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses from using it or relying on it.
Law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of Wyoming and applicable federal law.
